“When grandma’s grandma went to school”

What was school like 100 years ago? What are merit pictures and what is a dunce cap?
What did a classroom look like and what was taught back then?
We will dress up in vintage costumes and assume the roles of teachers and students at the turn of the century. We will learn how difficult it was to follow all the rules in those days. Writing with a stylus and slate, doing math using an abacus, as well as learning about physical education and music activities from that time will complete our program.
